About SANEDI
The South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) is a key agency of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy. Its mandate is to direct, monitor, and conduct applied energy research and development to promote the uptake of Low Carbon Energy and Energy Efficiency in South Africa. By joining SANEDI, you become part of a national effort to shape a sustainable energy future.
Internship Overview
- Positions: 20 x Internships
- Department: Office of the CEO – Energy Technical Support
- Period: 18 Months (includes a 3-month probation period)
- Focus: This initiative, in collaboration with the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA), is designed to equip unemployed youth with valuable skills and practical experience to enhance their employability.
What You Will Do
Successful candidates will be placed to provide crucial technical support for executing G20 research and related activities. This role is a unique chance to gain industry experience while contributing to key national and global sustainability initiatives in the energy sector.
Who Should Apply?
This programme is open to unemployed South African post-graduates who have successfully completed their studies in the following fields:
- BSc / BEngTech (Hons) Engineering – All Disciplines
- BSc (Hons) Environmental Science Management
- BSc Graphic Design
- Bachelor’s Degree in Administration
- BSc / BTech Communication Studies or related field
