Who Should Apply? (Requirements)
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen, unemployed, and between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must never have participated in any internship programme previously.
- Hold a three-year Tertiary Qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7) in one of the following fields:
- BCom Law / LLB / Labour Law
- BCom Accounting / Internal Audit / Auditing / Financial Accounting
- Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Information Systems
- BCompt / Financial Management
- A valid driver’s license is required.
What Will You Do? (Duties)
As an intern, you will be involved in meaningful work, including:
- Assisting with inspections to monitor employer compliance with UIA, COIDA, and UICA legislation.
- Helping to execute investigations into reported complaints about contraventions of labour laws.
- Providing essential administrative support to senior inspectors.
