Who Should Apply?

This programme is ideal for unemployed graduates who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must possess a Diploma or Degree in Public Administration.
  • Must be unemployed and have not previously participated in any internship programme.

How to Apply

Applications are processed electronically. Follow these steps carefully to ensure your application is considered:

  1. Complete the new Z83 Form (effective from 01 January 2021). This form can be downloaded from the DPSA website or collected from the National Department of Human Settlements, Govan Mbeki House, 260 Justice Mohammed Street.
  2. Ensure the correct reference number (DOHS/13/2025) is clearly stated on your Z83 form.
  3. Prepare your comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  4. Email your completed Z83 form and CV to: [email protected]

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Applications must be accompanied by a CV only. Certified copies of qualifications, ID, and other documents are not required at this stage but will be requested if you are shortlisted.
  • It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA.
  • If you apply for multiple positions within the Department, you must submit separate applications for each.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be subject to verification checks (security clearance, qualification verification, and criminal record).
  • Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. If you have not been contacted within four months after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
