Essential Requirements

Before you apply, please ensure you meet all the following criteria:

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must be an unemployed graduate.
  • You must NOT have previously participated in any internship programme.
  • You must be available for interviews on the date determined by the Department.

How to Apply

Applications are submitted electronically. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Download the new Z83 application form (effective from 01 January 2021) from the DPSA website or collect it from the National Department of Human Settlements, Govan Mbeki House, 260 Justice Mohammed Street.
  2. Ensure the correct reference number (DOHS/11/2025) is clearly stated on the Z83 form.
  3. Prepare your comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  4. Email your completed Z83 form and CV to: [email protected]

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Foreign Qualifications: It is your responsibility to have any foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA.
  • Submission: Failure to submit the Z83 and CV will result in your application not being considered.
  • Separate Applications: If you apply for multiple positions within the Department, you must submit a separate application for each one.
  • Checks: Appointment is subject to positive security clearance, qualification verification, and criminal record checks.
  • Communication: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you haven’t heard back within four months of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
