Position Details

  • Salary: R308,154 – R362,994 per annum (Level 07). A performance agreement is required.
  • Centre: National Office, Midrand

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Matric certificate.
  • A three-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Secretariat, Office Management, Administration, Public Management, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a secretarial role.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Key Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical knowledge and soft skills, including:

  • Superior organizational, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of financial, HR, and provisioning administration procedures.
  • Excellent telephone and office etiquette.
  • Ability to act with tact, discretion, and maintain good presentation.
  • Problem-solving, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours when necessary.

Note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a practical exercise and an integrity assessment.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will be diverse and critical to the smooth operation of the ICT unit:

  • Manage the office of the Chief Director, including diary coordination and document management.
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and technical support.
  • Offer secretarial support to management structures and supervise shared support services.
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing submissions within the ICT unit.
  • Manage corporate support services, including the submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans and reports.
  • Coordinate PMDS (Performance Management and Development System), leave, and compliance submissions.
