This programme is designed for unemployed South African graduates who hold a qualification in one of the following fields:
- Public / Social / Development Studies
- Social Sciences
- Public Management or Public Administration
- Human Settlement
Important: Applicants must not have previously participated in any internship programme.
How to Apply

- Download the new Z83 application form (effective from 01 January 2021) from the DPSA website or collect it from the National Department of Human Settlements, Govan Mbeki House, 260 Justice Mohammed Street.
- Ensure the correct reference number (DOHS/17/2025) is clearly stated on your Z83 form.
- Prepare your comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Email your completed Z83 form and CV to: [email protected]
Important Notes for Applicants
- Applications must be submitted on the new Z83 form. Old forms will not be accepted.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you haven’t heard back within four months of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
- Appointment is subject to positive outcomes on security clearance, qualification verification, and criminal record checks.
- If you have foreign qualifications, it is your responsibility to have them evaluated by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority).
