Who Should Apply?

This programme is designed for unemployed South African youth who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a qualification at NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma) in Public Management or Public Administration.
  • Are between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Have not been exposed to work experience related to their field of study.
  • Have not participated in a similar government internship or in-service training programme before.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by the closing date, 24 January 2025. Follow these instructions carefully:

  1. Use the NEW Z83 Form: Obtain the latest Z83 application form from any Public Service Department or download it from www.gov.za/documents. Applications on the old Z83 form will NOT be considered.
  2. Complete the Form: Ensure every part of Sections A, B, C, and D is fully completed, signed, and initialed.
  3. Prepare Your Documents: Attach a recently updated, comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  4. Submit Your Application:

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Do NOT submit certified copies of your qualifications, ID, or other documents with your initial application. You will only be required to submit these if you are shortlisted.
  • Include a signed Affidavit confirming you have not participated in a similar programme before.
  • If you possess a foreign qualification, have it evaluated by SAQA and be prepared to submit the evaluation certificate if shortlisted.
  • Due to the high volume of applications, correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only. If you have not been contacted within three weeks of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to a stringent security vetting process, including criminal record, citizenship, credit record, qualification, and employment verification.
