What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities
As an IT Intern, you will be at the heart of the campus’s technological operations. Your role will be diverse, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Key responsibilities include:
- Lecture Room Support: Conduct daily checks and maintenance of all lecture venues, ensuring projectors, screens, and printers are operational. You’ll also assist in monitoring the wireless infrastructure.
- Hardware Support: Get hands-on with setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals, providing direct support to users.
- Software Support: Assist with software installations, updates (including Microsoft Office), and license administration.
- Administrative Duties: Log calls with the IT Service Desk, maintain the asset register for all hardware and software, and generate usage reports for photocopiers and telephones.
- General ICT Maintenance: Help maintain neat and organized ICT environments, including server rooms and storerooms, and oversee the sign-in/sign-out process for equipment.
- Professional Development: Shadow senior IT staff and gain invaluable exposure by troubleshooting server-related issues, accelerating your learning curve.
