Who Should Apply?

This internship is ideal for graduates who meet the following criteria:

  • You are a South African citizen, unemployed, and between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • You hold one of the following qualifications:
    • National Diploma in Management Services
    • National Diploma in Public Management
    • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management
  • You have NOT previously participated in any government internship programme.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure your application is considered:

  2. Required Documents: You must submit two documents:
    • A fully completed and signed NEW Z83 form (obtainable from any Public Service department).
    • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with three contactable referees.
  3. Format for Online Applications: The Z83 and CV must be combined into one PDF document.
  4. Crucial E-mail Subject Line: You MUST indicate the job title and reference number on the subject line of your email. Example: \”Organisational Development Internship – Ref: NWP/OOP/2025/10\”. Using the wrong email address or subject line will get your application disqualified.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Do NOT submit certified copies of your qualifications, ID, or other documents with your initial application. You only need the Z83 and CV. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide certified documents later.
  • Ensure every part of the Z83 form (Sections A, B, C, D) is completed. The question in Part F regarding conditions preventing re-appointment is also compulsory.
  • Late, faxed, or incomplete applications (especially an incomplete Z83 form) will not be considered.
  • If you have foreign qualifications, it is your responsibility to have them evaluated by SAQA. You will need to submit the evaluation certificate if shortlisted.
  • Communication will be limited to shortlisted candidates. If you have not heard from the office within three months of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
